I turned the corner into this space and was gobsmacked by Barbara Kruger’s ‘Untitled (I Shop Therefore I Am),’ currently on view at The Broad.

What I love about Kruger’s work overall is her in-your-face messaging and no-holds-barred delivery. The bold block lettering inside blaring red boxes has become part of her trademarked style, as has her social commentary.

This piece hit me so hard that I almost deleted my Ralph Lauren cart! Almost. You almost got me, Babs!
