The Healing Power of a Patio Garden

When it comes to enhancing the live/work experience at Fluere, I've always believed in the power of a tranquil outdoor space. That's why I decided to transform our patio into a captivating garden haven. My goal was simple: create a serene and inviting space to unwind right in the heart of bustling Los Angeles.

To achieve this, I curated an eclectic array of clay pots in various shapes, sizes, and colors, giving my garden a vibrant and playful vibe. The stars of my garden are undoubtedly the succulents, known for their resilience in the LA weather and water-saving qualities. I sprinkled in some flowering succulents in shades of pink, red, yellow, and orange, adding a burst of color to the mix.

But the beauty doesn't stop there. To infuse even more life and color, I introduced hibiscus plants and Brazilian jasmine, embracing their tropical charm. Although they'll need a bit of TLC indoors during the cooler months, their presence is well worth it.

What's a garden without a touch of artistry? I've adorned my garden with statues, and there are more to come, along with a water feature, ambient lighting, a tabletop fire pit, and wall decor. And for those crisp fall nights, cozy blankets and an inflatable, removable bed await, perfect for stargazing.

The significance of creating a calming outdoor space, regardless of size, cannot be overstated. Beyond the aesthetic pleasure, it offers a multitude of health benefits. Research shows that spending time in nature reduces stress, lowers blood pressure, and enhances mood. It fosters a sense of tranquility and helps improve focus and creativity—a perfect addition to my live/work suite.

So, whether you have a sprawling garden or a petite patio like mine, consider designing an outdoor sanctuary. It's not just about beautifying your surroundings; it's about nurturing your well-being. As I continue to fine-tune my Fluere patio garden, I relish every moment of serenity it offers, knowing it's a haven that truly enhances my daily life.
